Hood props are simply outdated and get in the way of your engine when trying to work on it or even display it at shows. This set of hood struts from Ford Racing was designed to replace your Mustang GT, EcoBoost or V6’s factory hood prop rod.
These hood struts by Ford Racing utilize 2 gas struts rated at 90lbs to hold up your hood when popping it open. These hood struts use leverage in order to lift your stock or aftermarket hood with ease, all you need to do is start to lift you hood and watch it keep lifting itself until the gas struts fully expand. These hood struts were designed to fit all S550 Mustang GT, EcoBoost, or V6 models.
Ford Racing has manufactured these hood struts from lightweight steel and aluminum. This hood lift kit features durable black powder coated finish and a precision laser engraved Ford Performance logo to give you engine bay a cleaner, but stylized appearance. This kit includes all necessary mounting brackets to install these hood struts and get rid of your old hood prop.
Note:ÊIf you hood is lighter than the stock hood, use caution when opening the hood due to the power of the gas strut.
